- Hemp is CO2 neutral and absorbs more Co2 than is released while processing, more than any other crop
- Hemp is a multi-use annual crop, every part of it can be used for various purposes
- Yields x3 times more than cotton in the same piece of land
- Doesn’t need any pesticides or fertilizers, also has antibacterial properties
Types
Decorticated Hemp Fiber
Decorticated hemp fiber is suitable for the production of nonwovens, thermal insulation, production of paper, stuffing or further cottonisation.
Boiled & Mechanically Cottonised Hemp Fiber
Used for spinning in blends with cotton, wool and synthetic or semi-synthetic fibers. Medium-thickness yarns are dedicated to producing medium-heavy natural or semi-natural fabrics. This fiber can be used in both high and low number yarns.
Mechanically Cottonised Hemp Fiber
Suitable for spinning in blends with cotton, wool and synthetic or semi-synthetic fibers. Thicker (low number) yarns are dedicated to producing heavier natural or semi-natural fabrics. The yarn is used for medium-heavy apparel fabrics like home textile fabrics, tapestries, upholstery, denim as well as some knitwear.
Bleached, Boiled &Mechanically Cottonised Hemp Fiber
Boiled, bleached and mechanically cottonised hemp fiber is suitable for spinning in blends with cotton, wool, synthetic and semi-synthetic fibers. This fiber can be used in both high and low number yarns.
